Russky Standard

The best vodka I know of. The first time I tasted this stuff was in a russian restaurant in Helsinki, the New Year's eve 2003. It made a real impression and changed my thinking of vodka completely. Trust me: it tastes different. Finlandia, Absolut, Stolichnaya and the likes taste like "alcohol", and you may get a bad hangover from them. But you really shouldn't! I don't know how they do it, but Standard has no sidetastes and only limited after-effects. The only problem is poor availability; you may have to travel into Russia to buy a bottle.

Dos Equis

My long time favorite Dos Equis is the best mexican beer I know of. Kind of mix of mexican and german flavours doze simply rocks. Ever seen one of these green bottles sold in Europe? If you do, please let me know too!
