One month break in updates… and not too much to update. Recovery from the trail marathon didn’t take too long. Just a week or so off and I was able to run pretty well again. But then I did something unfortunate: went on to try beagle boarding in the cold pacific waves. After one afternoon of jumping from the sands in the chilly waters I got my right achilles tendon in a pretty bad shape. It’s a long time I’ve suffered from this though I can see one post from last fall mentioning the same. Before that it was spring 2009. Same leg, same place, it’s just bad and I have to live with it.
On top of that I was last week in Europe on business and caught cold. Back in California last weekend I’m again on the beach, achilles feels better, but no. Just some frisbee throwing and easy running and the achilles rewinds back one week. Right now I can run slowly on flat surface, maybe 30 mins or so without any acute pains. Giving it ice whenever it feels needing some.
