All eyes see the figure of the wizard
As he climbs to the top of the world
No sound, as he falls instead of rising
Time standing still, then there's blood on the sand
Oh I see his face!
The turnpoint of Stargazer (1976). There he goes with Blackmore playing the licks.
Then comes Black Sabbath
and Heaven & Hell (1980). These two songs remain in my all time top 10.
The lover of life's not a sinner
The ending is just a beginner
The closer you get to the meaning
The sooner you'll know that you're dreaming
"It was always Tony who was my favorite to play with.
We were able to very quickly create things, just because
of Tony’s basic nature, and because of my, perhaps, more
adventurous nature."
- Ronnie James Dio
After Sabbath, Dio launched a solo career from Holy Diver (1983). He still keeps
on touring intensely and with a reason. I've seen Dio five times, twice in Helsinki,
once in New York (the best concert), once in Århus and once in Madrid with Deep Purple.
"I do not think that hard rock/heavy metal is ever
coming back and will become as big as it was before.
Things that does not develope is doomed to die, and that
goes for people too. Do something of your lifes instead
and do not stop believing and developing."
