"There are things known and there are things unknown and in between are the Doors."
- Jim Morrison
Made the scene
Week to week
Day to day
Hour to hour
The gate is straight
Deep and wide
Break on through to the other side

"The sound doesn’t seem dated like some of the bands from the ’ 60s. The depth of the material in these songs and those
albums transcends generations. I think we were way ahead of our time, and just now it’s starting to be understood."
- Robbie Krieger

"I am interested in anything about revolt, disorder, chaos — especially activity that seems to have no meaning.
It seems to me to be the road toward freedom... Rather than starting inside, I start outside and reach the mental
through the physical."
- Jim Morrison
"Those substances exist on this planet to put you in touch with spirits beyond yourself, with the creator, with
the creative impulse of the planet and that's what they're for and that's what they should be used for."
- Ray Manzarek
