This was my 1986 Chevrolet Corvette coupe with the following options:

• cruise control
• power door locks
• power driver's seat
• backwindow defroster
• sport suspension
• transparent roof panel
• leather seats

The vette was with manual transmission and kept completely in stock. I bought it in January 2001 from a private party in California. I am the third owner. The machine had 67550 miles on it and hadn't been registered for the last two years. I shipped the car to Finland in August 2001 and dominated the streets of Helsinki since October 2001 until May 2004 when I sold it.

History of the machine in my hands... maintenance, repairs, upgrades etc:

• Last service: changed oil at 75000 miles, replaced brakes in all tires and the battery (again, because of too little driving!) (March 2004)
• changed oil, oil filter and spark plugs at 74000 miles (April 2003)
• replaced battery (April 2003)
• changed oil and oil filter at 70900 miles (May 2002)
• replaced windshield wipers and a light on dash (May 2002)
• repaired clutch master cylinder, fork and installed new clutch hose (January 2002)
• replaced center air deflector (January 2002)
• new sidelights in front to comply with Finnish rules (October 2001)
• replaced headlights to comply with Finnish rules (October 2001)
• replaced crankshaft (October 2001)
• new Centerforce clutch (October 2001)
• shipped the machine to Finland with 69554 miles on it (August 2001)
• another set of '86 wheels with new Dunlop all season tires (August 2001)
• replaced mufflers and y-pipe (August 2001)
• added 1 litre of oil, machine drinked it in about 2000 miles (August 2001)
• new Aiwa mp3 player (February 2001)
• replaced driveline and u-joints (February 2001)
• replaced intake and valve cover gaskets (January 2001)
• replaced several relays and sensors (January 2001)
• power steering flush and repair (January 2001)
• cooling system flush (January 2001)
• engine oil flush (January 2001)
• replaced clutch slave cylinder (January 2001)

The performance of the machine with its 350 ci (5.7 liter) V8 engine should be:

• 230 hp, 330 torque
• top speed 154 mph (250 km/h)
• acceleration 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) 5.8 seconds
