Wound up, can't sleep, can't do anything right, little honey
Oh, since I set my eyes on you.
I tell you the truth.
I still remember my anti-rock friend's comment in my vette when Firewoman opened: "This kicks!". It did and it does to this day.
I don't think there's an easy way out of here
But when the music is loud, we all get down
Every day, nirvana
Their #1 hit from the album Love (1985), She Sells Sanctuary, starts something like "Oh the heads that turn make my back burn"... what an opening! That particular song still plays frequently on radios all over the world. Bill Duffy's guitarwork is simply different. It is so multidimensional compared to many other rock groups of the 1980s. While the riffs may be simple, the sound of the guitar(s) is definitely not.
"Kids don't grow up wanting to be guitar heroes any more - although it will come back 'cause it's a very cool thing to do."
- Billy Duffy
Singer Ian Astbury's voice may not be strongest but it definitely tells us stories in its own unique way. So let us give the last notes to the late Andy:
Why did you kiss the world goodbye
Ciao Baby
Don't you know paradise takes time
"Whatever I believe in my life, I just want to enrich myself."
- Ian Astbury
