Witnessed an entertaining soccer match the other night in Helsinki. It was a great set-up to begin with: Finland’s first game in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers against Germany. Olympic Stadium was almost full with 37 000 spectators and my neighbor Horst was there to give the background of German players.<\/p>\n

The game did not disappoint. Finland went on to lead three times and each time Germany came back. I was lucky to take the pic above just before Daniel Sj\u00f6lund scores Finland to 3-2 lead. Sami Hyypi\u00e4 jumps on the left missing the ball but Sj\u00f6lund then delivers. Looking at that pic one must wonder where’s the German defense…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
