Speeding up again

Been training more or less “optimally” the last two weeks or so. Had days off, but also good performance sessions and long ones. Today tried a certain 1520m route in Kilo three times: 4.57, 5.03 and 4.56. It was a bit too fast to do five which I originally thought. Anyway, in March I had troubles doing these under 5.20 so there has been definitely progress…

Three days ago I did three times 10k within 12 hours. First one around Lauttasaari 36.20, in which I felt burned after some 20 mins. A week or two ago did 37.04 so progress also there. Due to construction there is some extra distance compared to Lauttasaari-run, which I did in 35 mins sharp last fall. If I could do it now sub 35 mins in a training run … then that would be good.
