As the weather did not improve – on the contrary – I went to Esport Arena for the first time of this training season. According to the girls the first lane of the 4-lane track measures 388.94 metres and the fourth one 411.94 metres. I guess this roughly means that 400m is somewhere in the middle of the second and third track. I ran at the outer side of the second one (in the spring I did inner side).
The 5x1000m series went today 3.17, 3.20, 3.17, 3.18, and 3.11 (inner side). Overall, I was rather surprised how hard it was to get back to track running. I would have been happy if my times would have been c. 5 seconds better. Ok, now I did the outer side and was using my marathon racers, which really aren’t racers. This was the first time I ran on track with them. – Total distance today was 10K. I also did some gym work after the track blitz.
